QuoteKit ("the app") helps Shopify merchants hide prices and receive quote requests from their customers. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
From merchants: your shop domain and the settings you configure in the app (hide-price rules, notification email). The app requests no access to your store's customer or order data.
From your customers: only what they type into the quote request form — name, email, and optionally company, phone, quantity, and a message — together with the product they asked about. This data is submitted voluntarily and is only used to deliver the quote request to the merchant.
Quote requests and settings are stored in a secured PostgreSQL database (hosted on Neon, encrypted in transit and at rest) and are accessible only to the merchant whose store received them, inside their Shopify admin. We do not sell, share, or use this data for any purpose other than operating the app. If the merchant configures an email notification address, quote details are sent to that address.
When a merchant uninstalls QuoteKit, all of that store's data — settings and every quote request — is deleted automatically. We honor Shopify's GDPR webhooks: customer redaction requests delete all quote requests matching that customer's email, and shop redaction requests delete all remaining shop data.
